The Lighthouse in Me

A Journey of Self-Discovery, Inner Healing and Awakening

Reshma Subramoney
About the book

A story of loss, and the long way back to the light

Some of us spend so long holding everything together that we forget to ask how we really are.

In 1986, a tragedy in Durban changed Reshma Subramoney's family for ever. For years she carried it quietly, building a career and a family, and keeping the grief where no one could see it.

The Lighthouse in Me is the story of what happened when she finally turned to face it. It moves through her childhood, the people who held her up, the move from Durban to Johannesburg, her years in corporate South Africa, and the slow, honest work of healing.

The book is written for anyone who has survived something and kept going without ever quite stopping to feel it. It does not promise that the pain disappears. It shows that there is light to be found anyway.
